Spring as a Celebration of Rebirth

Spring is on its way. Trees are beginning to show leaf tips. Bulbs are coming up. Soon it will be time for colored eggs and bunny rabbits. The whole earth is awakening and we experience a rebirth. It is a time of great joy. As parents we look forward to springtime for the celebrations and traditions we enjoy with our families. We look on with our children as we see baby ducks come to our local pond. The earth is alive and we are revived. Unfortunately, it is not true for everyone. Some are sick and in hospital. Some are awaiting the rebirth only a bone marrow transplant can provide. It costs money for the Bone Marrow Registry to do a marrow sampling in order to put a potential donor's profile on register. The cost is in fact around $60 for each sampling. I am not suggesting you donate $60 to the Bone Marrow registry. I am suggesting that you consider getting sampled, or at the very least, visit these two articles that came to my attention. Each read generates a small amount of money (2 cents and 10 cents respectively). That money is donated to the Bone Marrow Registry. Or at least consider doing a yard sale or other event with your children and celebrate the rebirth inherent in the season by donating the proceeds to the Registry. You will literally help save a life. The articles that came to my attention and sparked this article in turn are "Pledge and Plea" by Dave Davis and the URL is http://www.themestream.com/articles/1792... , and "Scottie" by Elizabeth Turner at http://www.themestream.com/articles/1068... If you read them, please pass them along to a friend. Spread true rebirth and help save lives.
