Well I'm back. I hope everyone hasn't missed me to badly. Our summer was somewhat hectic. But, I feel a renewed vigor toward getting some work done here for the Paganism topic.
While, I was gone I came across an author I have come to absolutely adore. I found not only is she a wonderful writer but she is a wonderful person as well. Her name? Margie McArthur. I first came into contact Margie when another author suggested that I do a review of her new book, Faery Healing, for my website. I requested a review copy and found that Faery Healing was much more than about healing using the energy of Faery's. It was about the Lore around these mythical and mystical creatures as well as the Legacy they left us. From Tuatha De Dannana to the illness known as Faery Blast Margie covers it all. This book captivated me. Her style of writing was not only effective in giving information, it was entertaining. I became very impressed by her work. Over the next few months she and I spoke through email about our children. She offered to send me the other two books she had written for review, and of course I accepted. Who is going to pass up a free book from a good writer? I certainly wasn't about to pass up two. When they arrived, I was touched that she had signed them both, but even more touched to find that one of them is currently out of print. The good news? There are still copies available. She sent it hoping that perhaps I would like it enough I would encourage others to buy it and perhaps she could get another printing of the book going. This book is one that I think should never go out of print. The book in question is titled, Wisdom of the Elements: The Sacred Wheel of Earth, Air, Fire and water. Margie includes more information about the elements in this book than I ever thought possible. She looks at the elements from the perspective ceremonial Magician right through the Medicine Wheel. She includes in here as well, meditations on each of the elements, information on Chinese Elements, a look at the medicine wheel and the wheel of the year as well as how to use elements in your magical working. This book is an invaluable tool to those who are just getting started on the path or even for those who have been on it a long time and just want to study the elements unfortunately it is out of print. But, if enough people buy the copies that are left we might be able to save this one from the depths of antiquity. Go To Page: 1 2
