Smooth muscle jobs
Fallopian tubes, in females, have layers of smooth muscle which help move oocytes towards the uterus. Smooth muscles in uterus and Fallopian tubes during their contraction and relaxation help sperms reach the ovum.
Strong, thick smooth muscles of the pregnant uterus expel the fetus at the end of gestation period (280 days for humans) which is known as parturition or delivery.
Smooth muscle cells located in the iris of the eye, regulate the diameter of the pupil. When pupil is widened more light can enter the eye and we can see more clearly.
