The Top Ten

Making History

Of all the articles I’ve written for this topic, this is the least related to the actual topic. In fact, it is about me and why I write history and was written for a special Event here at the Suite on Living Your Dreams. The number of readers continually amazes me.

10. The First Emperor

Finally we come to number ten. By 221 BC, King Zheng had unified China under the Qin Dynasty and proclaimed himself Shi Huang-di, First Emperor. A scant eleven years later he was buried with his now famous terracotta army, and the Qin Dynasty soon followed suit. What happened in between? Read about this fascinating and tyrannical ruler who, in the end, tried to cheat death with, among other things, magic mushrooms.
