For the last two months I've felt my life has been on fast forward. I met my Mom's new boyfriend and shortly thereafter found out there was a wedding in her near future. While processing these first two pieces of new information which will affect my life (I'm used to a Mom whose been single for the past 30 years), there is a trip to the doctors which adds something new to think about. The possibility of a cancer scare in the family begins a series of trips to the doctors, tests and eventually major surgery. In the meantime there is the physical move going on of Mom from her current home into her new home where she'll live after the wedding. She goes through the surgery while we're having a remodeling job done at my house that was already scheduled before any of this news of a new step-dad and surgery is known. Did I mention the wedding reception was going to be at my home and the remodeling took a week longer than expected? The remodeling added a new picture window in my wall I hadn't originally planned on (at least at this time) just to get the new shower I picked out into the new bathroom. It also somehow touched every room in the house with stuff moved out of the way of the remodeling into other areas of the house and dust covering everything. Several other issues came up during this time period that needed dealing with that intertwined with my life. Are you getting the picture?
