If you really want to get organized, and stay that way, you will find it much easier if you have good organizing tools on hand. This is one area where the money invested will pay off in the long run. I'll be writing reviews of organizing tools, and this week, I have three organizing books to recommend.

Why Buy or Read Books About Organizing?

Books on organizing won't help if you just read them, you have to adapt the concepts discussed in the books to see what works for you.

For those days when you just don't feel like doing one more thing to get or stay organized, taking time out to read organizing or time management books can motivate you to continue. There are some excellent books out there. The ones I recommend are books that I have personally read and found to be useful.

How To Be Organized In Spite Of Yourself The book was the first one I recommended for my workshop - Conquering Chaos at Suite U, this is the best book I've read on adapting your own personal style to the problems of getting and staying organized.

    The Procrastinators' Handbook

Yes, it's the biggest stumbling block to staying organized and we all do it, this little ebook will give you hints and tips on how to overcome this habit which can do more to defeat your organizing efforts than any other problem you may have.

The Organized Executive Although this book is slanted to the business manager, there are so many good ideas for paper and space management, it is bound to help you control the clutter in your home. The time management techniques can be adapted for use in your personal life and for those who are operating home businesses this is a must have book.

To find out more about any of the books listed above check out the summaries on my welcome page. by purchasing a book through my welcome page you'll be helping to keep Suite 101 viable. Thank-you. :)

If you'd like to check them out before buying, why not pop into the local library? You can access most libraries through the link at the top of the welcome page on my topic, then you can order it if it is not in your own local branch.

Any of these books will inspire you, but it will be up to you as to how you use them. I suggest you get yourself an organizing journal if you haven't got one on the go already. When you read something that you think will be helpful for you, jot it down in your journal. Most books have recommended reading lists included near the back of the book, you may want to note books that interest you for future reference.
