Setting Up Your CalendarThe secret to making your calendar work for you, is to be sure and record everything that all members of the family need to do. If there are school events, activities and important dates for your kids to remember, they usually bring home a note from school. Record the pertinent details right away then throw away the note, saves on clutter and you'll be able to find the info when you need it if it is on the calendar. You can keep a small purse size calendar with you when you are at work or out somewhere. Just be sure you transfer any new reminders or info to your desk calendar when you get home. Or phone home and leave a message on your answering machine with the details, then when you get home just pick up your message and copy it to your calendar. In the morning, or evening if that is more convenient, get in the habit of reviewing your calendar. Keeping up with your entries may seem like a lot of work at first, but once you get into the habit, you'll find yourself looking forward to your daily planning sessions.
