Two Twins: Not Identical Anymore

Two Twins: Not Identical Anymore

Ronnie started his jail sentence and his background in crime preceded him. His life behind bars became much like his other life. Realizing the power he and his brother had on the outside caused many to provide services that he required. He had workers to carry out his wishes and to make his life more comfortable. His follower listened to his stories about masterminding of crime. Reggie began a new life without his brother. He began to display more confidence and as the new recognized leader he began to display his attributes of planning and effective leadership. He made the decision to set up a new base of operations for the group. At the new club location he had a gym built upstairs to maintain his ties with the boxing world. This new club also began to attract a higher social level of customers, celebrities, and people with money and influence. The club was a success and Reggie started to make money as a legitimate businessman still keeping his hand in the business of crime that had provided this opportunity. In the tradition of American gangsters like Joey Gallo and Bugsy Siegel, Reggie attempts to plant his feet into two worlds and had the ability to convince many of those he dealt with that he was an outlaw who provided people with the entertainment and excitement they needed. Like his American counter parts he was able to convince many of his customers that he only used violence against those that came from the crime world of darkness. But also like his American counter-parts he would turn to violence to gain what he wanted. The "Robin Hood" illusion he created was not the truth but a persona that allowed people to get close to the world of crime while keeping what they felt was a safe distance. Reggie was moving up in the world while the world around his brother was beginning to crash down around him.

Ronnie was transferred to another prison where things were not as comfortable as they had been in the previous one. With the loss of his previous power base he began to turn more and more to solitude as a means of escape from the new hostile environment. He also was becoming more and more paranoid seeing enemies everywhere. He was kept under constant observation for fear he would harm someone or himself. He was sent to a new prison where he was kept sedated for his own protection. Upon hearing about his Aunt's death he went totally out of control and was forced into a straightjacket for his own protection. After a new consideration of his actions the decision was made to have him labeled as insane. His brother came up with a scheme to help Ronnie escape with a simple plan. On an appointed day he and his brother wore identical clothes and when the opportunity presented itself they simply changed places. When it was discovered that Ronnie was gone, Reggie simply stated that he was becoming concerned about where his brother had gone off.
