Provides a great insight in "That Life" within the an organized crime family. Rather than portray the glamour of the soldier's life the story tells of the bloody price one must pay to be part of "That Life".

The story of an FBI agent that went undercover in the mob and worked a sing operation that brought down the power of one family. The idea of large amounts of money and living an opulent life style is quickly dispelled and replaced by men who must hustle every day just to get by. The pressures of wondering each day if you will be able to live through it marks the life style of lower street Mafia members.

Contract on America, by David E. Scheim, Zebra Books Kensington Publishing Corp.

The text provides extensive data that leads to the conclusion that the assassination of John Kennedy and the deaths of many others involved in conspiracy were manipulated by organized crime. If all of the facts are true, the arms of the Mafia reached high into the national levels of government and involved international operations calling between the Mafia and government.

Murder Machine, by Gene Mustain and Jerry Capeci, Dutton Book

An expose' that provides details related to a faction within the Gambino crime family that became a Mafia execution squad, specializing in having their victims totally disappear. The violence and viciousness of this group became so great that the mob itself stepped in to end their reign of terror.

Blood and Power: Organized Crime in Twentieth-Century America, by Stephen Fox, William Morrow and Company, Inc.

Text is a well written historical account of organized crime in America. Materials are researched and presented by a historian providing an informed account of organized crime from the 1920's to the 1980's. Also provides insight into the transfer of crime enterprises to other ethnic groups like the Asians, Russians, and South Americans.
