Paths to NowhereWith the environment at stake under the present government; seas being contaminated; forests being chopped down and global warming an ever present threat, we need to be more aware. The use of GMO's which are banned in many European and South American countries is another concern. Longterm effects have not come to light since the chemical companies lobbied the FDA to OK the use of these. We have already seen the harm done to cows who are injected with the Bovine Growth Hormone which, in turn, harms the populace using products from these cows. Thank God many stores are only using organic products still. This morning I saw on C-Span a Republican senator saying that we are not living in 2000 or 2002 so we have to go with what 2004 brings. In the history books I have read, the past not only teaches us, but reflects many things we can use in this day and age.
