This was just a brief introduction to what you'll find in your soil. As a general rule, the more organic matter you add to your soil and the less digging you do, the greater the diversity of soil organisms you'll have. In turn, these organisms will help your plants grow big and healthy. And if you find pest organisms in your garden, you have a greater chance of having a helper around to eat that pest, if you encourage diversity in your garden soil.
