Terrie Murray -- Interview with an Oregon Contributing Editor

May 29, 2001 - © Sue Barton

Audobon events in Oregon that are absolute "must sees?"

TM: The biggest one is Wild Arts Festival, which is held Thanksgiving weekend. Artists from all over the state bring their work for sale, and you can get some beautiful pieces at good prices. A portion of each sale goes to Audubon. In May there are two events: Birdathon, which is the first weekend in May and which I featured on my site, and the Native Plant Sale, which I think is the third weekend in May. Audubon also offers lots of great nature education classes during spring break, Christmas break, and throughout the summer.

I hope you've enjoyed finding out about Terrie, and hope you take a look at her wonderful column, Backyard Birdwatching Almanac.
