  • 6: Orchids that are grown under lights, in a greenhouse, out doors, or in the home will all dry out differently.

  • 7: How often you water will depend on the potting media your orchid uses.

  • 8: If your orchid looks wilted, do not assume it needs more water! Check the roots and make sure they are not rotting. Root loss also causes your orchid to wilt just like under watering does.

  • 9: If the leaves of your orchids start to look crinkled and your pseudobulbs are shriveled, you are probably under watering, but also check your roots.

  • 10: Don't believe everything you read in books! Everyone's conditions are going to be different. Don't be afraid to experiment and see what is best for YOUR orchid.
