Don't Do A Tony! Buying For Women!

I love Christmas and the art of gift giving. I love to show my sweet wife how much I love her by showering her with presents. I only have one problem, I seem to never have any money.

Last year I was able to do the majority of my shopping for Joyce on the Internet. I found that the bargains I got along with the free gift-wrapping and a few extra free gifts made me look like I spent 10Xs what I actually spent. Of course it is not how much we spend but the thought that counts. Yeh, tell that to my friend Tony whose wife told him that she didn't want anything for Christmas and guess what he bought her? First, in Tony's defense let me say that he is really a smart guy. He just expects everything to be black and white. If you tell him one thing, he will believe you mean what you say. Diana had noticed that there had not been anything under the tree for her. This made her more excited, thinking Tony was going to surprise her with something really nice. He had never done this before. Most past Christmases he had just given Diana money and told her to go pick something out for herself. On Christmas day, Tony, Diana, and the children began to open their presents. Diane was thrilled with excite about the surprise that Tony was going to offer. Then half way through the celebration she began to notice that Tony was not giving any hints that he had anything for her. When all the presents were opened, the obvious fact was true, Tony did not get her anything. Diana is not a person who mixes words (and I can't repeat her exact response), but basically her response was, "where's my presents?!" Tony offered his best answer, "You told me not to get you anything this year." When we arrived to their house the following week for the New Years Party, Diana had her presents and then some. Because of Tony's blunder it cost him dearly. For him to make it up to her, he had to not only buy her everything on her Christmas list but promise a Caribbean cruise as well. This brings us to the moral of our story. 1) Women always get what they want. & 2) If you don't get her what she wants, it will cost you more in the long run.
