I own four pair of shoes. One for mowing grass, one for exercise, one for casual dress, and one for dress. My dress shoes I bought when we were going to get married almost 10 years ago. My wife said to me today that I needed to get a new pair. I told her that they were very comfortable and I was just going to get them resoled. She said why don't you just buy a new pair. I reminded her that I have already had them resoled twice and that is how I keep a good pair of shoes. She looked at me in disbelief. Here I had a perfectly good opportunity to buy a new pair of shoes, and I was passing the chance. This was beyond her comprehension.
