When I adventure outside I have to get prepared. For me, being prepared means steel-toed boots, chain mail underwear, protective eye shield, helmet, and rubber gloves up to my shoulders. It takes me an hour just to get dressed to go outside to mow the grass. If you wonder why I have to take so many precautions, just compare my summer doctor bills to the winter ones. This winter, I spent $41.62 and that was to begin my allergy shots for the summer. Last summer, my doctor bill was more than my house mortgage, car payment, and vet bills combined. It's so bad that there is a room at the local hospital named "Reginald's Summer Home". In their annual budget, under assets, there is a column called, "RV's Summer Bill". If I'm true to form, this year my hospital bills will cover half the hospital's expenses. Last year, when I did not have a medical emergency during the first week of May, they called to see if I was still alive. My answering machine caught the message, I was on the way to the emergency room.
Through all the broken bones, poison ivy, allergic reactions, snake bites, and rabies shots, I am still a trooper. I truly believe this year is going to be different. Thanks to the Internet, I
WILL be prepared.
