The Great Shopping Sites of Europe

One of the benefits in writing these articles on "World Wide Shopping" was that I have not had to learn any languages. I hate learning languages. In high school I took the required two years of Spanish. I remember the day after the final year was over some said "Cómo es usted?" I had no idea what they were saying. The only thing I could say was "No hablo Espanoles!" I hear your sarcasm. I can hear you say, "Well, if he didn't know it then, how does he know it now?" Language Translator comes to the rescue. I just type in what to say and it tells me how to say it in that language. It also works the other way. I type in the French phrase and it translates to English. This is great when you're looking up foreign shopping sites (remember last week I gave you a site that had a currency converter). I said all this to make a point. This article on mainland Europe and Scandinavian countries was harder to write than all the other articles combined. Up to this point most countries use English in the same way I use a Snickers candy bar. It's not one of the major food groups but it can get you through the day. So I really haven't had a hard time finding shopping sites in English. Now I come to the European sites. The gall of the people to use their native language when it comes to their shopping sites. I know that you are probably thinking that I am just another egotistical American that thinks the sun rises and sets on the US. No, I'm just another ignorant American that thinks the sun rises and sets on Western North Carolina. I don't get out much. So in light of this information and my own laziness to translate, I will provide some sites that have a number of shopping links and let you do the translating. Some of the sites may also be English speaking sites from the Americas, Australia, or Britain that offer goods from Europe. We travel from your computer to our first stop in France. In France, I recommend that we stop to shop at the following places: Le Shopping , The Exclusive Shop, Antique Net, The French Country Shop, Le village, French Bakery, and Le Web des Antquaires.
