Money talks! If you want to make money using the internet you have to pay now or pay later. Everyone knows that a search engine listing is one very important key to making money online. If you're in the search engine database (as I am) and in a good position - I would say don't touch your listing unless you shell out some bucks to get a better listing. If you're not in and you use the free submission link, then only through luck will your site be listed in a reasonable time. Some search engines state that you should submit your site once and they will spider your site. I read somewhere that spidering uses up the cpu resources of your webhost and some ISP's (don't know of any actual ISP's or even asked about this) block some spiders. This is similar to search engine submission programs spidering the search engines for information that would assist a website owner. Think of how many users are using that program and the amount of search engine cpu time that is used by each person. Simply put, “resources cost money” to provide. The internet is going to “pay for use” all the way - maybe not now but gradually. Pay to play.
Search engines need to make money and I can cite many articles to support my position. The proof is in the numerous pay per click services and the new listing fees at new and established search engines.

The bottom line is that you will have to pay now or in the future to be listed. Trust me when I say that if you’re not listed, pay to get listed. I have many clients who have benefitted from inclusion is a good ranking within the listings presented from a search.
Happy promoting.
