Grammie's Prayer

For my Grandchildren and the World's Grandchildren - Dear Lord I pray: That each grandchild is born healthy, that each grandchild is surrounded by love, that each grandchild is protected from harm and evil, that each grandchild is treasured, that each grandchild is nurtured, that each grandchild have a warm place to sleep, that each grandchild have the essential nutrients and food they need, that each grandchild have the appropriate medical care, that each grandchild have accessibility to education, that each grandchild have the opportunity to grow strong in mind, body and spirit, that each grandchild have the tools and support of family and society to excel in their life on earth, as You My Lord have promised.

For my Children and the World's Children - Dear Lord I pray: That each child grow healthy, that each child know love, that each child be shown compassion, that each child's innocence be protected, that each child have warmth, that each child have the bare necessities to survive, that each child have the medical attention they need, that each child have equal education opportunities, that each child have the nurturing they deserve to become a productive member of society, that each child have the comfort of a parent or adult to guide them down future paths, as You My Lord have offered.

For my Daughter, Son and the World's Parents and Parents To Be - Dear Lord I pray: That each parent bore a child through love and commitment to their spouse, that each parent be given the opportunities in life to work and earn a reasonable wage, that each parent be able to provide a safe haven for their children, that each parent be able to provide nourishment and health care, that each parent be given the tools to help them raise their children responsibly, that each parent find the time to connect and nurture their child, that each parent find a balance between spoiling and discipline for their child, that each parent possess patience, understanding, and compassion for their child, that each parent provide the individual and moral guidance their child requires to survive by conquering obstacles and making valuable choices, as You My Lord have taught.

For Myself, Papa and the World's Grandparents -Dear Lord I Pray: That each Grandparent be a nurturing role model, that each Grandparent be able to share their life experiences in a way that will have a positive effect on their grandchildren, that each grandparent find the time and energy to connect with their grandchild, that each grandparent possess patience, understanding and kindness for their grandchildren, that each grandparent have the wisdom to know when to intervene and when to let the parents handle the rearing of their grandchild, that each grandparent respect their children's wishes where their grandchild is concerned, that each grandparent be able to provide a safe haven for their grandchild whenever necessary, that each grandparent be blessed with a long healthy life, allowing them to guide their grandchildren on the right path to adulthood, as You My Lord have shown them.
