Have a Grand New Year!

PRACTICAL RESOLUTIONS:

Simplify your surroundings, start be getting rid of anything you consider clutter in your house. Your grandchildren can help you sort and clean out closets, paper clutter and attics. They can hand tear old papers in to little pieces. They can have fun playing dress up in the clothes you plan to donate to a charity or box the items for an early spring yard sale. Your grandchildren can learn about ecology by helping you recycle magazines, newspapers, bottles, and cans. Clearing out the things you don't need or use anymore will save you time and energy cleaning. The more clutter you clear away, the less you have to dust, reorganize and move around. More time to relax, and enjoy the important treasures in life.

With each new year, we all make promises we mean to keep. The suggestions in this article are simple promises, anyone can make. As for the ultimate resolution - make a contract with yourself listing the promises you are willing to commit to. Be realistic about time, energy, physical limitations and being true to yourself. If you promise to do something for your own self and good - not to please someone else's expectation - chances are you will succeed. When you are finished with your resolution list, write "I,_________________ promise myself, my spirit and my well being to commit to, and continue to practice these resolutions throughout this year 2002." Then sign, date and post the promise note where you will see it everyday.
