These are important issues that will, at some point, affect your life or the life of someone you love. By then, it will be too late. Contact your Congressmembers and Senators. Let them know you want health care to be a top priority. Time is slipping by quickly and the crisis is growing ever faster.

My next article will focus on the Florence Project and their work to focus on patient advocacy, patients' rights and the diminished role nurses are now playing to protect a patient's best interest.
