Increasing NTN Play (Part I)Fat Freddie's. The Beach Club. Kay's. Holiday Inn - Greenway Plaza. These are just a few names of places in the Houston area for which NTN came and went quickly. I've been getting a lot of inquiries off of my other website from owners wanting to install the network at their bars and pubs. Or maybe a player wants to expand the number of local sites by persuading a likely location to try it out. Yet no one wants for a new site to go the way of "Fat Freddie's" and its brethren.
Fortunately there are ways that management and players can encourage NTN activities in order to get and keep customers, even in the face of competition from other locations. Even in an area such as Houston which is mostly saturated, there is usually room for a new spot to open up, particularly one that is deemed "trivia friendly".

There may be a location somewhere whose owners thought it would be great to put in the system for their current customers to mess with, but most hope to recover the cost of installation and service through increased business. This goal is reachable, but only if the owners, management, staff, and customers work together.

I've walked out of places which had multiple screens turned to all sorts of other events, but nothing on NTN, on the theory that it would take too much effort to try and get something switched over.
Which leads to:
2. Fully acquaint all employees with NTN. Everyone who is there to directly serve the customers needs to know at least:
a) how to get the system running;
