Winter DreamingRight now, while I don't have garden chores to do, I'm going to go online and talk to other gardeners about gardens. I'm going to read about gardens and look at pictures of gardens. Great new ideas can come from reading about what others have done. There has been an explosion in garden books recently. Here at Suite101 we have many wonderful gardeners writing about their experiences with all kinds of gardening. Reading their articles often feels like I'm getting inside the head of another gardener, seeing the world through other eyes. I always put down the book or look up from the monitor with new insights into why I garden. Before it gets warm enough to again have coffee in my garden, I want to let my imagination run free with all these possibilities. I want to see in my mind's eye that best ever garden that I am going to have this year, guided by what I know about my garden's strengths. This year I may come closer to getting it right than I have ever done. Anyway, gardening is my most favorite activity, so I am going to win no matter what. I hope you do too.
