FOREVER SPRING

Once again, the equinox turns and it is officially Spring. The exact time, of course, depends on where you live.

For us here in Toronto it was around 7:30 a.m. - something like that, anyway. And lemme' tell ya' -it sure didn't look like it!

A gloomy day, folks - cloudy with damp snow and rain.

Awwwwwwwwww! Now let's hear that a little louder. Ah! Good - thanks, I feel better.

The first 'full' day of spring will be on Monday, so maybe we'll have better luck.

I, like many others, am ready for it - even though Toronto still has a lot of snow that has not melted, I am looking at 'things spring' and will NOT hear of anything else.

An interesting thing to note is that many places are named ‘spring’. Not to mention, animals, flowers and people.

Here is a list of places on the North American continent that contain the word ‘spring’. I have named (in scramble code) the city or town and the country, province or state separated by a comma. There are six letters you can be sure of - all you have to do is figure out where they go and how they're going to fit in with the other letters.

The solution is at the bottom of the puzzle:

POODLEGRACI, FLORINDS

RIPANIFRIED, GOGGLES

NOSILLIESIN, PRIGFILD

SPACGLANSHS, ITSFERDUMTIES

GIRDLENOFIP, HOSI

GOFERDIGPIE, SLONNR

SEELAVINIAS, DIPPYRNGFLNN

TENDERFLING, SISSPEENE

NOMENTFERI, DISGLVPR

GRINDARLING, FIVEPISI

LAMBASTES ITDOORO PACSONGO

SHIPPER STANXUR, SLUGS

Now, there's Canada to consider . . .

BERTMANSONG, IFLIPAID

GIRLCHASSI, LOOV PANTIN

WORTRANCH BIG SNOTSHI, P. S.

RATCHOPS NOT RIGFINS, B. M.

STRONGIR AIR SPHONCH, B. S.

CHARGO DUM BITPINS, S. R.

SPIN LATRNA SCIGLS, D. B.

DALLEGONER, DIPSUNNFAWND

SPRINGERO TROBLAN, DICASAS

OPENAIRGRID, SNOFLIT

WASTENOTONI. RIGPAIR

There's a coupla' other places too, but they aren't in North America . . . think you know what these could be?

GRIPENY, MANGERS

GALINTAILS, PRESARVUA

ORANGATAPI, SLOWDURIS

Now, before I give out the answers, I'd like to tell you something about these places. That might help you to unscramble these place names, BEFORE you throw your hands up in the air and scroll down to the solutions.

The first place is known as ‘home of the Longhorns, the pronghorns and all that is prairie and southeast (of this state). If you’d like to get a really broad hint, just click on this url.

............

Now this next place (I think we're looking at the famous RIPANIFRIED, GOGGLES in this case) is located in what is described as the 'heart of one of the Southeast's oldest yet fastest growing counties - just north of both Savannah and Rincon . . .
