Golfers can be assured of a place to put in their usual nine-holes; there is a particularly challenging water trap along the Coquilhalla River. There are ten public tennis courts at Memorial Park, at C. E. Barry School and Silver Creek Elementary. At Fraser Bowl and Raquetball you can use eight 5-pin bowling lanes and one racquetball court.
Some unique tours are available; there is a self-guided forestry trail at Hunter Creek. Helicopter tours give you a chance to experience flying between the mountains as well as taking in breathtaking views of the area. In town, you will find a fully equipped library where you can access the internet. There is also an art gallery. Other events and places include the Fort Hope Trading Post, Live Music at the Blue Moose every Friday night, and at Skinny's Bar & Grill. How to get there? Surrounded by the mountains, this small community is found at a junction of rivers, highways, climate zones and land forms. If you're going by car, follow highways # 3, 5 and 1 inland, then go north through the mountain passes to # 7 and 1, then west to the Fraser Valley. Or you could buy a bus or train ticket and let somebody else do the driving.
