The Texas Seven - Page 3

For now, the seven men have kept a low profile since the bloody robbery on Christmas Eve. However, many Texans fear that a return to the headlines by any of the men is likely if not guaranteed. The promise to return that was made on December 13th is still a potential for further confrontation. There are several outcomes. The first is that the men continue to keep a low profile and disappear - perhaps to Mexico - into obscurity. Or they may sporadically provide clues to their whereabouts by launching attacks such as the one on December 24th. A final outcome is their arrest. If they are captured, the seven face the death penalty. However, it is highly doubtful they would willingly be arrested. As Gregg McCrary, a retired FBI criminal-behaviour expert, said "This group is very, very dangerous...now that they have killed a policeman, there isn’t much left for them to lose" ("http://www.newsweek.com/"). It is a sombre summing up to the recent events, but one that is all too true.
