Unitone HiFi & TriggerX: Past, Present, Future for Joost

a tour there coming up to two years ago and it was just really good. It was amazing going into the small towns in Germany and there was like 300 to 400 people there who had heard of your music and we went 'wow!'"

The tour of Germany was a whirlwind visit, so Joost says any future visit will take things a bit slower. "I'd like to go over there and play in a more relaxed way. The tour we did was pretty full on. I think we did two or three shows in as not many more days all the time. So you travel, you play, you travel, you play . . ."

Still on the subject of gigs, recently in the South Island Joost played at the Gathering where several thousand people gathered to feast their ears on all kinds of electronic music. "I played quite late. It was about three in the morning or something. There was such a good vibe at the Gathering. The music will almost become secondary to the vibe that sort of goes on. It's so good to be like 9,000 people and no violence. It's very peaceful and lots of good music going on."

Over his years in the music industry, Joost Langeveld has certainly proved to be a versatile musician, so if you want to see him in action, check out Une Petite Electronique Trois on Mar. 12 in Wellington where Joost will play, as will Short Fuse, another of his musical collaborators.
