Finn/Runga/Dobbyn To Tour New Zealand

New Zealand's three most famous songwriters will unite together for their first New Zealand tour this month, as Tim Finn, Bic Runga and Dave Dobbyn link together for a special musical celebration.

Travelling the length and breadth of the country from north to south, the trio will come together for a special theatre presentation of their hits, both new and old.

Says Tim Finn: "Dave and Bic are top-shelf troubadours. They can write damn fine pop tunes and play them live. Traveling from town to town is old-school stuff, that's what it's all about: the tunes and the show."

The artists say that they are proud to be working together in the equal billing show, and look forward to bringing their own unique magic to a theatre near you.

Earlier this year, Tim Finn released a new album entitled Say It Is So, Dave Dobbyn has just released Hopetown and Bic Runga is working on a new album - her first since the multi-plantinum Drive

After reading your article about the Finns' connection to Sting (December 98), I wanted to shamelessly promote the Sting page that exists here at Suite101. Unfortunately, the page didn't exist in 1998 ...
