The City That Finally Sleeps


rooms is new and has been renovated within the past year. We have Single (1 person max) is $60.00 per night rooms that are perfect for the traveler who is alone. These rooms are very basic, many do not have A/C, or TV, but they are clean and inexpensive. They feature a twin size bed, dresser, mirror, and some offer a sink in the room. Some of our Single rooms do have A/C and cable TV, for an additional price, just ask for a Deluxe Single room.

While each room has a sink in it, one of two bathrooms can be found in the hall - being shared among 7-8 other rooms per side of floor. Each bathroom is equipped with two toilets, a shower and a bathtub on each side of each floor.

Next to Gemini Lounge ring doorbell #3 and enter through the black door to find Second Home on Second. A guest house with seven furnished rooms in a 19th-century townhouse, Second Home is conveniently located on Second Avenue between 13th and 14th Streets in the East Village - three blocks from Union Square and within walking distance of the West Village, Soho and Gramercy Park.

The rooms are distinctively decorated with modern interpretations of four themes: Peruvian, Tribal, Caribbean and 20th-century Modern. Each room offers full-size beds, air-conditioning, private telephone lines with answering machines, TV with cable and an alarm clock radio. Other amenities available include private bathrooms, a terrace, a stereo with CD player and a VCR. A fully furnished kitchen, including dishwasher, stove and oven, microwave oven, toaster, coffee maker, and refrigerator, is available for all our guests. A single room with a shared bathroom is $70-$90 per night while a suite with a private bathroom is still only $165.
