What is Metaphysics? - Page 2

The laws of metaphysics, which we will explore in more detail as time goes on, are as follows:

The Law of One Mind: There is one mind in the universe that is the creative force behind each individual mind. Recognition and awareness of the One Mind brings the student or practitioner successful demonstration.

The Law of Abundance: The One Mind is all, and possesses all good within itself. By declaring this One Mind as our one true source of all supply, we set into motion the law of abundance, which provides us with all we need by opening us to all channels of receiving that which we desire.

The Law of Cause and Effect: Every thought in the human mind is a cause, which set into motion leads to an effect in our physical world. Change your thoughts, change your world.

The Law of Karma: As you think/act, such thoughts and actions travel into the One Mind and create an effect, which will return to you. Jesus put it simply when he said "As you believe, so it shall be done unto you." Fruition of karma is said to either return to you in this lifetime, or the next. This law shows the heavily Eastern influence of metaphysical teachings.

The Law of Permanence and Non-Permanence: There is only one real permanence in the world and that is Universal Mind, or God, which contains all good within it. Temporary problems, situations, negatives are just that, temporary. When we align ourselves once again with the One Mind, negative conditions dissipate and we again are focused on the reality of Eternal Good.

The Law of Love: This is real easy. Love your neighbor as you love yourself. Do unto others... sound familiar? Because we are all one at the source, when we do harm to another we are also harming ourselves. When we do good, we are doing good for ourselves. One Mind, ONE LIFE! That life is ours, theirs, yours... so as the Wiccans say, do what thou wilt but harm ye none...

The Law of Circulation: What comes around goes around. Give and you shall receive. What you put into the world comes back to you. This correlates not only with Biblical teachings, and laws of Karma and Dharma in Eastern teachings, but with the Wiccan belief that anything you do returns to you threefold.

There are other laws, especially since Metaphysics has grown into so many diverse branches, each with their own special focus, but these are the most common and basic. In the future, we will talk about how each law can be utilized to bring us success, joy, prosperity and right action in our lives, and how we can align ourselves with our Source using meditation, affirmations, scientific prayer treatment, and other techniques. In the meantime, please don't hesitate to email me or let me know what you are interested in learning about. I am here to teach, and to learn, and consider myself a student open to any new ideas you might have!
