The Power of Belief

© Rev. Marie Jones

What if I told you that you could have, do or be anything you want? Anything at all, and that there were no physical obstacles standing in your way of doing so. What would you say? Would your first impulse be to think, "I don't believe it?" If so, then therein lies your problem.

Four simple words that are responsible for more anguish, disappointment and discontent than any others: I DON'T BELIEVE IT. These are four simple words, yet they are responsible for much of the pain and misery and lack and limitation that keep people from living the life of their dreams. Why?

Because IT IS DONE UNTO YOU AS YOU BELIEVE!

And if what you believe is pain, misery, lack and limitation, that's exactly what you will experience in your life. If you truly want to change the outer experience you call your life, than you have to start on the inside, with your core beliefs. Beliefs about yourself, the Universe, and how you can use the power of Spirit to co-create your dream life.

That's great news! Knowing that your own negative beliefs are the only real obstacles keeping you from living a full life means that you have the power to knock down those obstacles. The bad news is, that when you realize YOU are responsible for your life, you can no longer place the blame for your misery on any outside influence. You can't blame your spouse, God, your parents, your boss, or anything else for that matter.

There is a powerful force of good in the Universe, and you can align yourself with it to make your reality any way you desire. Some call it God, Spirit, Higher Power, Source, whatever. And the key to working with this force is your belief.

For this force is always ready and waiting to respond to the thoughts and intentions you place upon it, and if those thoughts and intentions are good and prosperous and positive, THAT is what you will see manifested in your outer reality.

God puts up no obstacles in our path, except for the free choice we are given. At any time, we have the power to choose one path or another, positivity or negativity, good or evil, prosperity or poverty.

When we do make a choice, and truly believe that it will come about, we see our lives unfold just as we have imagined.
