Thank you, Susan.

These are affirmations in their simplest and most elegant sense. Affirmations assist in creating a kind of field around us. They show us blocks in our belief systems and the hard nubs that create bumps in our flow. They focus our perspective and attention; they open us to new ways of thinking and living. They let us know where we should refocus our efforts, our energies, our time, our talents. They remind us of who we are, where we're going. They don't change the world; they change us. We move through the world in different ways. And we change it.

Author Larry Winget, in his book "Shut Up, Stop Whining and Get a Life," says, cynically, "If your life sucks, it's because you suck." There is much wisdom in that little epithet. It calls you to personal responsibility, and in that responsibility lies your true path to inner and outer freedom. (I recommend Larry's book.)

Affirmations help you change your thinking. And that is the whole crux of New Thought: Change your thinking, change your life.

It's not so hard, right?
