Four Ways to Pray With Power

"Anything which today seems supernatural, once it is rightly understood, becomes totally natural." Ernest Holmes

Ever heard of the 'placebo effect?' This effect, simply put, is how your body heals itself when there is no physical reason or explanation. In cancer research, it's called 'spontaneous remission.' Science has no explanation for it-yet.

But I do. It's called faith. Not hope-faith. There is a major difference. And prayer is one of the best ways to turn hope into faith, if you know how to pray.

People have been praying in countless ways for countless centuries. And, not surprisingly, most of them work. Reason? Because people believe in them. That's the key: belief. Here are four ways to help you increase your belief, and in turn, increase your faith. The more faith, the more prayers are answered. Don't believe it? Try it anyway.

There's power in PRAISE.

First, start looking for reasons to praise people in your life. Don't do it insincerely, but look for actual ways to let people know they are doing a good job in whatever capacity you are sharing time with them. They need to hear it, and you will benefit as well. And by the way, look for ways to praise yourself, too. You have made it this far in life. That means you've done a good job.

"There is an inherent law of mind that we increase whatever we praise. . . We can praise our own abilities and the very brain cells will expand and increase in capacity and intelligence when we speak words of encouragement and appreciation to them." Charles Fillmore

BLESS everything.

When you understand that everything in your world is a result of your own thought and action, including illness, you will begin to understand just how powerful you really are. When you let everything become a blessing, you will see a shift in your consciousness that will create a shift in your world. You are the power in your life. Bless everything.

"Everything that can go right will go right." Bijan

AFFIRM your truth.

Start each day with this affirmation: 'Today is the most wonderful day of my life. I live it fully.' Let that be your motivation to move and groove! Stand in the truth that your perception creates-or destroys-your joy, your peace, your happiness.

"The greatest discovery of any generation is that human beings can alter their lives be altering their attitudes of mind." Albert Schweitzer

Be THANKFUL.

Again, when we understand that we are the creators of our experience of reality, that we have the power to change whatever needs changing, gratitude becomes the natural response. An attitude of gratitude makes the entire day special. Try it; you'll like it.
