Prosperity: An Exercise in Conscious Creation© M. Williams
There are many happy, successful people in the world who seem to live an abundant life without the slightest effort or hardship. Perhaps you even know some of them. They're the people who are always in the right place at the right time and for whom success seems to come easily. We view them as 'lucky' individuals, or say that they have the Midas touch, but it might just be that they've mastered the ability to create their own realities.
The practical benefits that could arise from mastering this technique are immediately apparent. Financial success would be high on the list for many people-and material considerations may even be partially responsible for the subject's growing online presence-but the majority seems to acknowledge that prosperity comes in many shapes and forms. It isn't just about money, although that is a part of being prosperous. It's about being wealthy in terms of health, relationships and overall happiness. It's about getting exactly what you need when you need it in all facets of your life. And it's about using your own natural thought power to create your own positive life experiences. Unfortunately, however, our thoughts are not always positive, and this makes awareness a key element in creating prosperity. Oftentimes we get caught up in anxiety about what the future holds. It's easy to fear the unknown, and it's natural to worry that those things we fear might come to pass, but our worry may unconsciously energize our fears into becoming a very real part of our reality. Let's say you dream of owning your own home, for example. You've finally saved enough for the down payment and you've found the perfect place, but it seems too good to be true, and for weeks you fret about the possibility of something going wrong. Sure enough, the owner suddenly decides not to sell and the deal falls through, just as you 'knew' it would. The whole thing started out as a thought, but the more it was dwelled upon, the more energy was focused on it, until it eventually became a disappointing reality. From the conscious creator's perspective, more satisfactory results would be gained by becoming aware of the damaging thought process and by diverting that energy into positive thoughts, and even physical actions, to help create the desired outcome. In this case such actions might include planning where the furniture will go, or preparing change of address cards, for example.
