Extra Sensory Sciences:Sixth Sense Awareness - Page 2

There are other "Sixth Sense" personifications and some of these are:

• Psychokinesis - lit. mind movement term used for psi phenomena where a person appears to directly affect their environment simply by intending to do so (i.e.: as ESP was thought to be analogous to sensory functioning?PK was the psi equivalent to motor functioning). PK has traditionally been split into two categories (e.g., related terms: Telekinesis, mind-over-matter).
  

  • Micro PK - where instrumentation and/or statistical analysis is needed to determine if there is an effect (e.g. influence of microelectronic devices).
    
  • Macro PK - where naked-eye observation suggests there is an effect (e.g. poltergeist, table tipping).

• Direct Mental Interaction with Living Systems (DMILS) - research arose from past work on bio-PK, remote staring, and distant healing. It covers a range of phenomena wherein an organism appears to elicit physiological or behavioural responses in remote organisms without apparent channels of communication or influence. Direct Mental Interaction is used as it allows for contributions from both the response-initiating organism and the responser; Living Systems includes a range of organisms from human beings to simple cellular systems (e.g., related terms: Bio-PK, Healing, and Remote staring).

As an introduction to this six-part article series on the "Sixth Sense" I've presented these basic characteristics of this newly recognized sense within our species. The articles will provide more scientific explanations of "Sixth Sense" phenomenon and will provide you with links for research, testing, memberships, and to hone your individual extra sensory skill set, if so desired. Additionally, it is my hope that we will learn to alleviate the taboos associated with hyper sensory human qualities.
