Whether you're looking for entertainment, art, culture exhibits or just anything that'll get you out of the house, from now until the end of the year you'll find events galore throughout Northern Nevada.

Sparks Hometowne Farmer's Market
Market, craft and food booths, cooking demonstrations, entertainment--and don't forget people-watching! Find fresh picked berries, corn, peaches, nectarines, green beans, cucumbers and much more. I do nearly all my weekly produce shopping here, and it's a great opportunity to visit with neighbors. Let the kids wear their shorts or swimsuits, and they can play in the fountains at the square in front of the theatre!
When: June 14-August 23, Thursdays from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm
Where: Victorian Square in Sparks
More Info: Call (775) 353-2291

Artown
Cultural festivals; art exhibits; theater, dance and opera ensembles; art classes; kids' events. Over 200 events are scheduled so if you can think of it, you can pretty much find it going on sometime this month. Check out the official website of Artown for schedules and locations.
When: Throughout the month of July
Where: All over the Reno/Sparks area
More Info: Call (775) 322-1538, or logon to http://www.artown.org

The Big Easy
Sponsored by the Silver Club in Sparks, this festival harkens to the Mardi Gras of Louisiana. Not to be missed, you'll find craft booths, music and entertainment--and a ton of beads! So, "Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulette" -- Let the good times roll!
When: July 13-15
