Sharing our Needle Art with Others

5. Volunteer: Schools, Vacation Bible School, camps...these are just a few places where you might have an opportunity to share your craft with children. Children are our future stitchers and the future preservers of our stitching! We must teach them to love and take care of this craft of ours. Volunteering includes teaching your own children. Carve out just 15 minutes a week to teach your little ones - boys as well as girls - how to stitch. Your children will learn far more than stitching in these lessons. They will also learn patience, gentleness, and self-control. Wow! Just think of all the benefits!

Here is a simple challenge for your week: Give one piece of stitching advice or encouragement to someone who is not familiar with needle art, or is new at it.

Together, let's make sure our craft continues far beyond our years!
