Tennessee fades from title picture

Nebraska 41, Kansas State 15 -- The Wildcats are now on the outside looking in after suffering their first loss of the season in humiliating fashion to the rival Huskers. Eric Crouch led Nebraska with 158 yards rushing and two touchdowns, who was also 8-for-17 passing for 69 yards and set a university quarterback record with 27 carries. It was the 30th time in 31 games that the Huskers have beaten the Wildcats, and avenged that lone loss -- a 40-30 upset last season. The defeat all but drops the 9-1 Wildcats out of BCS contention.

Wisconsin 41, Iowa 3 -- The big story in this one, obviously, is that Ron Dayne became the new all-time major-college career rushing leader on a 31-yard during the second quarter. Dayne now has 6,397 rushing yards in his career, breaking the year-old record of 6,279 formerly held by Texas' Ricky Williams. He finished with 216 yards and a touchdown in the game as the Badgers clinched their second straight Rose Bowl berth. Looks like the Heisman all but belongs to the 252-pound New Jersey native, who is one of just four players to collect four career 1,000-yard rushing seasons.
