"It's an area that loves great college football and one that I'm quite familiar with," added Blue Devils coach Carl Franks. "I'm excited about this opportunity and certainly encouraged our athletic director to schedule this game in an important area for our alumni and fans."

Jacksonville is the hometown of Florida State's second-largest alumni club. They last hosted a Seminoles game in 1989, when FSU was beatend by Southern Miss, 30-26.
