As always, be sure to check out the Top 25 rundown at ESPN.com for more detail on this week's games, and don't forget to see who the online sportswriters have tapped as this week's Top 25 in the Sporteditor.com Division I College Football Poll.

GRID GUESSERS UPDATE - After a 2-3 week, I am ready to concede a couple of points. First, Ohio State is for real. Second, the Miami (Oh) RedHawks aren't as good as I thought they were. Either that or Marshall may be better this year without Randy Moss then they were last season with him. That said, keep an eye on Georgia this season. They downed a tough LSU club this week and could be on the road to big things this season. So, after the 2-3 week, your fearless prognosticator is 17-12 on the season (.586 winning percentage).

Before I get into this week's results, I want to announce a few changes in the Grid Guesser contest. Unfortunately, many of the particpants have missed games over the past few weeks or have let me know that they will be missing games in the near future. While I understand that things happen that sometimes make it difficult to participate week after week in a contest such as this, I can't see allowing a person with a good winning percentage win if they've only picked 15 games all season. So starting this week, there will be a minimum games requirement to be listed among the top guessers for that week.

But don't worry. If you have missed or will miss a week and you have a genuine interest in sticking with the contest, just drop me an e-mail line and I can simply serve you up some extra games to pick.

So this week, with a minimum of 20 games picked out of a possible 29, your leader is still Jeff Frankeny. Jeff has dominated the contest thus far and, even after a 2-3 week, he sits atop the Grid Guessers with a 21-8 mark (.724). Second is Brian Anthony with a 16-8 mark (.667). Tied for third with identical 18-11 marks (.620) are Kim Johnson and Eric Nichols. Shawn Taylor is the only other competitor who currently qualifies. His record is currently 15-14 (.517).

This week's picks:

UCLA over ARIZONA
GEORGIA over TENNESSEE
TEXAS A&M over NEBRASKA
KANSAS STATE over COLORADO
FLORIDA over LSU

PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Georgia quarterback Quincy Carter. Carter, a true freshman, completed 27 of 34 pass attempts for 318 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Bulldogs to their one-point win over LSU. Despite facing constant pressure from the Tigers, the a 21-year-old Carter - in just his fourth start - completed his first 15 passes for 186 yards and a touchdown before tossing his first incompletion. Carter also ran for 41 yards and caught a 36-yard pass.
