Some strange things happened in the Grid Guessers contest. Gary Pekarek returned to the contest after a two-week absence from the contest to post a 5-0 week, but it wasn't enough to dethrone current leader Jeff Frankeny. Jeff also went 5-0 on the week and now a an 18-6 record (.750), while Pekarek is in second with a 10-4 mark (.714). Pekarek is still eligible to win the contest provided he doesn't miss any other games.
LSU over GEORGIA PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Despite the amazing individual performances from DeAngelo Evans, Michael Bishop, Doug Johnson and others, this week's game ball goes to Texas running back Ricky Williams. Williams took the frontrunner spot in the Heisman Race with an amazing performance against Rice this weekend. Williams scored six touchdowns and ran for 318 yards on 30 carries after being held to 43 yards the previous week against Kansas State. After the game, Williams told reporters "I wanted to show everyone that last week was a fluke."
