Vince Carter, the #2 guard of UNC, who wore the same colors as Antawn Jamison, could actually be more valuable then Jamison in the long run. Carter, like Bibby and Pierce, is a player who has tremendous talent and can light up the court with his exciting play. His superb athleticism has scouts awed. He is reminiscent of former Tar Heel Jerry Stackhouse, now a star on the Detroit Pistons. If his mouth doesn't get over his head, Carter could be a gem. Carter would fit well in Toronto, Vancouver, or Golden State.

There are many other capable players in this field. Lee Nailon is a consistent scorer and a solid player. Roshown McLeod was a Dukie, so he's good, but he lacks the type of talent that some of the other guys have. Toby Bailey could become a dynamic point guard or a benchwarmer, so he could be a big risk. Miles Simon and Michael Dickerson, who both played alongside Mike Bibby, are great players who could shine in the NBA. Michael Doleac, from Utah, is a tough center who can shoot and play D. Pat Garrity, from Notre Dame, scored 23 ppg last season. To sum it all up, this year's draft may not have the next Michael Jordan, but it is very unpredictable and could be a great one to watch.

Picking Duke is like picking IBM as a stockpicker: If you're right, everyone pats you on the back for the "great" prediction. If you're wrong, no one cares, because everyone else picked it too.
