The Huskies have done it. They have reserved one of two spots in the Tropicana Dome on Monday, as they knocked off the Ohio State Buckeyes. Despite a fast-paced game throughout by both teams, it was a low-scoring game. In the end, Ricky Moore's defense, Khalid El-Amin's leadership, and Richard Hamilton's monster game sealed the victory for the Huskies, who's dream season will continue against either Duke or Michigan State.

The Huskies used suffocating defense to force Buckeye stars Michael Redd and Scoonie Penn into bad shots and turnovers. Ricky Moore was phenomenal against Penn, and although the Ohio State floor general scored 12 points, he was pretty much shut down for much of the game. Despite several midjudgements on offense late in the game for Connecticut, they were able to hold off a rally to win for Jim Calhoun. The Buckeyes also played some defense of their own, forcing Jake Voshkuhl to foul out and made Kevin Freeman work down low. But Hamilton, El-Amin, and Moore were too much for the Buckeyes who were sluggish offensively.

Up next will be the Duke Blue Devils, who will try to advance against Michigan State and Mateen Cleaves, the All-American. Who will win, the favorite or the workhorse?
