Sharing The Earth-A Book Review
In "Invisible Wings," Anne Watkins, former Contributing Editor of Companion Birds writes a touching story about a painful period in her life, when she ended up in a domestic violence shelter, and had to face the fact that she had to start her life over again. So she moved back home to her Dad's property, where he set her up in an old mobile home, so she could have some privacy. He also did his best to cheer her up, but it just wasn't working too well. Then one day, her Dad had an idea about something that just might work. So he hung three plastic hummingbird feeders that used to belong to Anne's mother before she died, on a clothesline outside the trailer. As the tiny jewels came to the feeder, jostled and preened and drank the sweet nectar, they slowly changed Anne's outlook about her life, and she realized she deserved to be happy again. Anne's story is one of the most touching stories in the book! There are stories in this book about birds and dolphins, weasels and turtles, even a chimp story by Jane Goodall, and much, much more. Sharing The Earth is about God's beautiful animals that were created to share our world, and are valued by Him, just as much as we are. We should be caring towards them, and make sure that they have a place to share with us on the planet in the future as well! Oh, and did I mention that I have a few stories in the book, too? Yes, I feel privileged to have been included in this wonderful collection, and series. If you love stories about animals, you will enjoy this book! "Sharing The Earth"
