The Natural HorseJust these few facts will dictate how to "naturally" work with and around horses and are important to remember. Just as with humans, each horse is a unique individual, each with an individual personality that is unique to that one particular horse. Some horses will be shy, another more curious; some horses will be strong in personality while others tend to be natural followers. It is important when working with horses to be able to ascertain the type of personality with which you are working. This will set the foundation for successful relationship training and teaching of your horse. With the succession of articles on the Natural Horse we will speak generically of all horses. It is important to keep in mind, however, the uniqueness and individual characteristics of your own horse(s) when making decisions concerning training, feed & nutrition, housing, and the general care of the horse.
