up their own minds. It is those people who have personal psychological and
emotional issues who disagree and squeak the loudest in opposition to Dr.
Strasser's methods. The ones whose squeaking turn into bellows and roars are
the ones too busy making all the noise and fuss to listen and learn!
Meanwhile - while those loud, raucous objectors are making all their noise,
we are the ones who are quietly fitting the "shoe" to the foot - or, in this
case, removing the shoe that doesn't fit the foot. If it works for the
horse? Awesome! Go for it! Keep your mind open to learn, to discover, to
explore and then to make the choice that's best for the horse! Make your
individual choice as an educated horse owner. Personally? I feel that any
horse owner has the *responsibility* to learn as much as possible about
these animals and then, to give them the very best according to the animal's
own, natural needs. To do less is shirking on the responsibility. After all
is said and done, it boils down to - 'ignorance' is no excuse. Do your
homework, do your research. Talk to those who have their horses barefoot and
happy! Don't just take what someone else say verbatim. Keeping horses is
hard work - just blindly taking what someone else says is the easy way out.
Unfortunately, it is not we who suffer from our laziness, but the horses.
