Life Sometimes Gets in the Way ... more notes from DorianSometimes Life Gets In the Way 12/12/04 More notes from Dorian. Dorian: Well, at long last you decide to talk with me again! I've missed our tete-a-tete(s). But, then you've been busy, haven't you. Busy with the mundane tasks of trying to manage humans. Me: Yep, trying to "manage" humans has driven me into the ground, emotionally. The more I tried, the more things fell apart. I cannot control what others do and no matter how much I see that what they do is in error, perhaps its not in error for them at all? Dorian: Ah ha! Now you're FINALLY beginning to get it. What others do is NOT your responsibility. In fact, when humans try to "control" one another then they actually take AWAY from that other person's reality and growth. Why do you think that humans get so very upset when they seemingly can't control their "horses"? We horses cannot be controlled any more than another human can be. We make our own choices according to what we're feeling at the moment. Humans cannot control the moments of time. They can somehow paint a swirl of belief but that's all that it is at times ... a swirl of non-attached beliefs. Nothing cohesive. Nothing "real" ... just a swirl. Me: This is supposed to be having to do with natural horsemanship, Dorian! What does all this have to do with the topic? Dorian; It's all about control. Or, lack of. When life gets in the way of what reality IS, its because you try to "control" your life. Life cannot be controlled in the human sense of the word. You can either choose to blend in with what is the moment of truth or you can fight it and go on to something else. Each time you do that, however, or cause someone else to do that you've robbed moments of time from your existence or/and from the other person's existence. You rob beauty from the moment of time. There is beauty in all of the world; even in the most negative of negatives. There is beauty because each moment is the next and the next and the next and what has gone on before. You are a being of moments. You are what you've lived. So are we horses. The difference being is that we don't think of what is to come so we are less complicated than humans. We deal with each moment as it comes along to us. We make them beauty because we allow them to ... be. We don't try to control them. What we try to do is become in sync with those moments that feel out of control. We are animals that live in sync with the world around us. When time glitches because of human interference then we struggle to remain. Yep, stopped the sentence right where I wanted to. We struggle to remain. Its called, in human terms, survival. We call it life. And when life gets out of sync with what ever else is going on around us we become a bit unnerved and confused. We cannot live in your time restraints. We don't understand your time restraints. We only understand ... living in the moment.
