Some people are not likely to get addicted and some need to watch for warning signs. Learn to recognize them.

If you are addicted to anything, then you already know that you have an addictive personality unless you became addicted through no fault of your own.

Addictive Behavior Traits

If you follow a systematic way of doing your daily chores, walking to your daily destination along the same route, and meeting the same people regularly, then avoid anything to which you do not want to get addicted.

Adhering to a strict routine is a trait that may indicate an addictive personality. Family history may play a role too - often, alcoholics have family members who also suffer from alcoholism.

Non-addictive Behavior Traits

Non-addictive personalities are not sticklers for routine. They love to meet new people and talk to strangers, to experience new situations, new foods, and new subjects.

Perhaps you recognize yourself in one of the two personalities. If you have addictive tendencies, don't touch, or even think about, anything to which you do not want to become addicted.
