Bumper stickers can lift the spirit on a dreary day behind the wheel. Here is your chance to vote for the one which lifts your spirit the most.
Update, February 1, 2002
I am adding this update to announce the winner. He is not one of the eligible contestants. Unfortunately, they have not responded to my repeated emailed requests to vote. None of them have even replied, so I have no way of reaching them.
In consultation with the Suite101.com Head Office, we have decided to award the prize to the most enthusiastic participant of this contest, our resident long distance trucker and Suite101.com Humor editor, Greg Holbrook. He has contributed 50 entries to this contest for our enjoyment. He collected them on his trips and faithfully posted them, even though he never thought that he had a chance of winning. Thank you, Greg, for your 50 ways of lifting the spirit. I shall publish your entries in an article which I will link here when it is finished.
I hope you will all understand why we were forced to change the contest rules. Feel free to express your reaction to the decision in the discussion.
Judging Time
On April 24, 2001, I published an article of Bumper Stickers to Lift the Spirit to introduce the Natural Health contest for 2001, "Bumper Stickers to Lift the Spirit" which ended on December 1, 2001. I have collected all the contest entries and sorted them, but there were simply too many to publish all at once. This article will therefore only contain the ones which are eligible for the prize. The entries are numbered. Remember the purpose of contest was to find the bumper stickers which lift our spirit. So let's enjoy them and vote for the one which lifts your spirit the most. I won't vote unless we need a tie breaker, but I will tell you afterwards which one is my favorite.
I don't want to pick a winner among all the good submissions myself, so I am letting you do the judging again this year just like you voted for the best Millennium Maxim last year.
Watch for other articles with more great entries, including the many which were collected by our resident long distance trucker, Greg Holbrook, editor of Humor.
How to Judge
Read all entries and vote for the one you like the best. If you submitted one of the entries, you are privileged to vote for two bumper stickers,
