2001 Natural Health Recap

This is my whimsical, somewhat irreverent account of what life and death might have been like in 2001. It is my answer to a Suite101 challenge to link the titles of our 2001 articles in a continuous story.

Recapping the Year 2001

First thing in 2001, I had to wrap up the special year 2000 with the Millennium Maxims Judging, letting my readers choose the winner of the Natural Health Milennium Contest. While I conceded the Blessings of the Internet, life on earth proved to be a little more stressful. 911 or How protected are we? Not very, when I committed Suicide - I don't want to die! However, at least I got to sit At the Right Hand of the Father where I enjoyed perfect Natural Health and The Blessing of Lost Memories. I also got to walk under the Healing Trees and to send an Email from Heaven. Then, however, I was Brought back to Life for a Purpose and told to "Go and Brighten the corner where you are." Back to O Canada, our home and native land and to Unnatural Health, worrying about Cold Sores and Warts, Remedies and Prevention and about Natural Earache Remedies! And those dandelions everywhere, driving me mad! Don't fight the dandelions, eat them. Never mind, Don't fight the dandelions, drink them, because I don't drink water. And if all else fails, Don't fight the dandelions, use them as medicine. Forget about the weeds! Let's celebrate! Share Your Thanksgiving the Traditional Way or Share Your Thanksgiving the Modern Way. Either way, let's eat! Oh no, no, no, No mosquitoes for me, thank you! How about some Variety Salads Free for the Picking (Oh oh, can't get away from those weeds!) topped with Naturally Healthy Salad Dressing followed by Herb Teas Free for the Picking? With all that food, it's a good thing that I love being fat! Too much food! Where is that Willow, the Aspirin Tree? Or would it be better to look for An Apple a Day or an Aspirin or a Niacin Pill? Actually, my #1 remedy and my all-time #1 article is Garlic, Wonder Drug, and I knew about that because of The Lesson I Learned from My Grandfather. Let's wrap up the year with some Christmas Fun and Relaxation beating The Healing Drum! And a little bit of Irish Wisdom, Irish Humor wouldn't hurt either.
